Very nice PA. I get a very Laguna Lorie vibe from him. Just kicking back and relaxing in the shade of a tree. Of course there is probably some national crisis he's avoiding, but still. Just chillin'.

I think it is beautiful. I really like the whimsical effect you bring to it. It looks like a leaf blowing in the breeze to me, but I can also see where people may think of birds too.

Amy, the wings are...hmm...I wouldn't go so far as to say intentional, but wing-shapes are so deeply embedded in me and I love wings so much, they come out very naturally. Maybe a little of both--I didn't intend to paint wings and bird shapes, but they are symbolic, strongly symbolic to me, so it doesn't surprise me when wings and feathers and bird-shapes show up.

You're very close to what I was thinking while painting this. I didn't intend it to come out like it did, but while I was painting, it became a bird...a falling bird, and the something is emerging, but I don't know what it is. It's taking the bird's life away through the connection. I don't know if the bird is OK with that or not, because I don't know what it is that is growing there. I didn't want it to be like that, but that's what it wanted to be, so I didn't fight it. That's what came out in this 'sketch'.

These three watercolors, the green, blue and purple, all have very bird/wing/feather-like elements in them. Was that intentional or did it just sort of come out? The latest looks to me like a bird falling but as it falls, something is emerging/growing from him. Or perhaps he's trying to hold onto it to keep from falling... but it looks too light to hold him in the air.
